Wedding Shoes
My project for today was to take photos of my wife's wedding shoes. We actually did not have one in our wedding photos from the photographer. I used the natural light coming through the blinds instead of a flash and I placed them on a coffee table. You may notice a little blue tint on the shoe. I am still working on removing that since the shoes are white but I think this is a good start.
Photo number two. Different point of view. I like this one better. I placed the shoes on the floor next to the window. Again, I didn't use a flash.

Snow Anyone??
I snapped this photo on the first night of Atlanta's recent snow/ice storm. I used the automatic settings on my camera. I'm new to photography so I am just learning about focal lengths, f-stops, aperature size, etc...so of course the picture could have been much better. I opened my front door, stuck the camera out, and snapped the picture. Just wait until I really know what I'm doing. I welcome any suggestions as far as what I can do to improve the image in Photoshop or Lightroom. The picture has been deleted from my camera,

Weapon of Choice
I have always felt that I had an artistic eye. I've been taking photos for years, but not very seriously. So this Christmas, my wife bought me a Sony Alpha A330 DSLR camera which influenced me to step my game up. Now I find myself scouring the internet to find info on photography and camera settings and lighting techniques. Get where i'm going with this? I am neck deep into photography thanks to her.
